How do I teach children aged seven to twelve the manners of hosting guests?
Manners towards guests are taught through small, real tasks, not just reminders. Train your child to give salam, greet guests politely, and help serve drinks or light snacks. Teach him not to interrupt adults' conversation and not to whine for things in front of guests. Explain that honouring guests is sunnah and a sign of good character. Give him a role he is proud of, such as welcoming guests at the door. Praise him after the guests leave so that he feels appreciated. A child used to hosting guests grows up with confidence and good manners. See educating the family.
