Q&A › Worship in the home

🕌 Worship in the home · #175

We have performed umrah several times, but have not yet registered for hajj. Are our priorities wrong?

Umrah is a noble act of worship, but hajj is a pillar of Islam, so preparing for hajj should come first. There is nothing wrong with performing umrah many times; it is a sign of longing for the Holy Land. But limited money and time should be honestly reassessed. If you have not yet registered for hajj, register promptly with Lembaga Tabung Haji, and make sure your hajj savings keep pace. Then consider spacing out your next umrah and channelling part of its cost into hajj savings. Discuss this together without blaming each other. This decision is not about giving up umrah, but about ordering your worship by its priority. See planning hajj together.
