⚖️ Polygyny: rulings & justice · #113

Is it good for me to review my fairness with my wives regularly?

Reviewing your fairness honestly, from time to time, helps you correct any leaning before it becomes injustice. Ask each wife separately whether she feels her rights to time, maintenance and attention are met, and listen without defending yourself. Allah commands us to “stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves” (Surah an-Nisa' 4:135). Make up for what you have missed, and do not turn the complaint into a reason to argue. A review like this is a sign of responsibility, not weakness. See household system.
