⚖️ Polygyny: rulings & justice · #95

Does being content with one wife mean my faith is weak or that I follow the Sunnah less?

Being content with one wife is not a sign of weak faith; it is a good and safe choice that the Qur'an itself mentions. Allah says: “Then if you fear that you will not be just, then (marry) only one” (Surah an-Nisa' 4:3). Polygyny is a conditional permission, not an obligation or a measure of piety. Many righteous Muslims live happily with one wife and fulfil their trusts perfectly. Focus your energy on safeguarding your wife's rights, raising your children, and building a peaceful home. Do not let other people's views or social media plant baseless guilt. Honour lies in justice and piety, not in the number of wives. See critical wisdom.
