🕌 Worship in the home · #132

As a single parent, what supplications can strengthen my hopes for my children?

Supplication is a single parent's most powerful weapon, and prayers for one's children are among the most readily answered. The Qur'an records the prayer of the believers: “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and our offspring a comfort to our eyes” (Surah al-Furqan 25:74). Mention your children by name one by one after prayer, and ask that they be made righteous and a comfort to the eyes. Pray that you are given strength and patience. Let your children see you depend on Allah, because that plants confidence in them. Hope placed in Allah is never in vain. See du'a & prayer.
