🕌 Worship in the home · #125
I scroll on my phone until late at night and then struggle to wake for Subuh. How do I change this?
What happens at night decides your Subuh, so guarding your prayer begins with guarding your bedtime. Endless scrolling steals sleep and makes waking for Subuh a struggle that is often lost. In practice, set a ‘phone bedtime’ an hour before you sleep, and charge your phone outside the bedroom so that it does not become a tempting alarm clock. Replace the night habit with wudu', dhikr and reading before you drop off. Put a separate alarm clock far from the bed for Subuh. Start by putting the phone to bed fifteen minutes earlier each night. Protected sleep is part of protecting worship. See family digital life.
