🏛️ Polygyny: the law · #106
My adult children want to come and support me at their father's polygyny hearing. Is that wise?
Their support means a lot, but be careful that the children are not made parties to a dispute between mother and father. They can accompany you to court, help organise documents and wait outside. Entering the hearing room or giving evidence depends on the court and your lawyer's advice. Remind them that their father is still their father, whatever the decision. Avoid quarrels in the court grounds or on social media; they only leave scars in the family. If they are very angry, encourage them to talk to a counsellor or a respected elder.
