May a wife and daughters who are menstruating come along to the place of the Hari Raya prayer?
Yes, it is even encouraged; they attend to witness the good and the prayers of the Muslims, but keep away from the prayer rows.
Umm ʿAtiyya r.a. narrated that the Prophet ﷺ ordered that young women, secluded women and menstruating women go out on ʿEid to witness the good and the supplications of the Muslims, and that menstruating women keep away from the place of prayer (Sahih al-Bukhari 324). In Malaysia the ʿEid prayer is usually held in mosques; menstruating women do not enter the mosque's prayer hall according to the Shafi'i school, but may be in the outer area, listen to the sermon and recite the takbir. It is a chance for daughters to share the joy of ʿEid with the family. Wait in a suitable area and follow the rules of the venue. See Congregational prayer.
