Can I forward a message exposing someone's faults if I feel it is true?

Spreading people's faults, even if true, is forbidden backbiting, and forwarding it makes you part of that sin. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The talebearer will not enter Paradise” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6056). Before forwarding any message about someone, stop and ask: does this slander, shame or divide? If yes, let it stop with you; do not send it on to others. If something is a misunderstanding or a lie, correct it kindly or stay silent. Use your fingers to put out fires, not to fan them. Keeping your tongue and fingers from hurting people is a sign of faith. See family digital life.
