🤍 Character & conduct between spouses · #365

How can I train myself to appreciate the small blessings I always overlook?

Happiness often hides in small blessings we take for granted until they are gone. Start the day by naming one thing you are grateful for, such as health, clean water or food on the table. Pause for a moment when enjoying something good and realise it is a gift from Allah. Avoid putting off happiness until ‘after I get this and that’, because that is never enough. Write down a few blessings each night if it helps. Teach your children to notice and name blessings too. A heart trained to see small blessings rarely feels lacking. See mental health.
