May non-Muslim friends and relatives be invited to a wedding?

Yes, and it is good for family ties and for introducing Islam; provide suitable halal food and treat them with respect.
Allah does not forbid kindness and fairness towards non-Muslims who do not fight us (al-Mumtahanah 60:8), and the Prophet ﷺ told us to honour guests (Sahih al-Bukhari 6018). For a convert couple, inviting the non-Muslim family of origin is very important so they do not feel they have lost their child. Guidance: briefly explain the event's arrangements such as modest dress and the prayer space; make sure there is no alcohol; and they may respectfully witness religious parts such as the contract. At wedding feasts, the Prophet ﷺ criticised feasts that invite only the rich and leave out the poor (Sahih al-Bukhari 5177), so an inclusive guest list is good. See The wedding feast.
