May a Muslim woman marry a non-Muslim man?
No. A Muslim woman is forbidden to marry a non-Muslim man, including one of the People of the Book, and such a contract is invalid.
Allah says: "They (believing women) are not lawful for the disbelievers, nor are the disbelievers lawful for them." If the prospective husband wishes to marry, he must first sincerely embrace Islam and be registered as a convert. A civil marriage abroad with a non-Muslim man is not recognised as a marriage under the Shariah. See Interfaith & converts.
