How do I keep a calm heart in the marriage amid busyness and pressure?

A heart that leans on Allah brings calm into the home, even when outside circumstances are challenging. Allah says: “in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” (Surah ar-Ra'd 13:28). Begin and end the day with dhikr and supplication, and make prayer the pillar that gives rest amid the busyness. When pressure comes, turn back to Allah for a moment before acting, so that you do not take your anger out on your spouse. Spouses whose hearts are calm are more patient and gentle with each other. Invite your spouse to do dhikr together now and then. Spiritual calm is the soil in which love grows. See du'a & prayer.
