🕌 Worship in the home · #88

Can we make the hope of being together in Paradise part of our relationship?

Making the Hereafter a shared goal gives a marriage a higher purpose than worldly matters alone. Spouses who help each other in worship and character are in fact walking to Paradise together. Pray for each other, remind each other of prayer gently, and help your spouse improve without belittling them. Allah teaches the believers to ask, from their families, for “a comfort to our eyes” (Surah al-Furqan 25:74). Make shared worship, such as praying in congregation and reading the Qur'an, part of your routine. When love is bound with taqwa, it is not cut off by death, but continues into the Hereafter. See du'a & prayer.
