🏡 Rights & responsibilities · #344
Although my husband helps when asked, I am the one who has to remember and plan everything in the house. What can I do?
The burden of planning and remembering every household matter is real, and it should be shared, not carried by one person alone. This burden is often invisible because it happens in the mind: who remembers the children's schedules, the kitchen supplies and the appointments. Rather than just asking your husband to help with your tasks, hand some matters over to him entirely to plan and complete himself. Sit together, list all the tasks including the invisible ones, and divide ownership of them. Appreciate the way he handles things even if it differs from yours. True partnership means sharing the responsibility of thinking, not only sharing the manual work. See duties of husband and wife.
