Can the akad nikah be broadcast live on social media?

In principle yes, but weigh aurat, privacy and the long-term effects before pressing the broadcast button. A live broadcast lets distant relatives watch too, and that is a good thing. But what is broadcast is hard to take back. Make sure the bride and women guests agree and are fully covering their aurat. Choose a closed channel, such as a family group, rather than a public broadcast. Appoint a responsible person to handle the camera so the couple is not distracted. Avoid broadcasting private moments after the akad. Remember too that online viewers do not count as witnesses. See privacy.
