What should I prepare before attending a sulh session at the Syariah Court?

Come to sulh (mediation) with the intention to reconcile, organised information, and a heart ready to compromise. Gather first the documents and details related to your claim, such as the matters you want to resolve, so the discussion is orderly. Think about what really matters to you and where you can be generous. Allah speaks of reconciliation: “reconciliation is better” (Surah an-Nisa' 4:128). Come calmly, listen to the other side, and avoid personal attacks. The sulh officer will help both parties reach an agreement without a long trial. For procedural details in your state, refer to your local Syariah Court. See syariah Court procedure.
