🕌 Worship in the home · #104
How do we bring the last ten nights of Ramadan to life with the family at home?
The last ten nights are the peak of Ramadan, and a family can bring them to life together even without i'tikaf at the mosque. Arrange afternoon naps so that everyone is more alert at night. Hold night prayers in congregation or in turns, and read the Qur'an together. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged spouses to wake each other: “Allah has mercy on a man who rises at night to pray and awakens his wife” (Sunan Abu Dawud 1308). Involve the children according to their ability, without forcing the little ones. Prepare a quiet corner and make plenty of supplication on the odd nights. What matters is consistency over this short period, not overburdening yourselves until you tire of it. See du'a & prayer.
