Q&A › Family finances

💰 Family finances · #89

Our income is not enough. How do we increase the family's income in a halal way without neglecting the household?

Increasing halal provision is a praiseworthy effort, as long as it does not come at the cost of the family's rights and worship. Start with the skills you already have and side work that fits reasonably with your time. Discuss it together so the load and childcare are shared, not left to fall on one person. Stay away from dubious quick-return schemes and any haram source, because the blessing (barakah) of provision matters more than its amount. Set limits so extra work does not swallow all family time and rest. Accompany your efforts with prayer and tawakkul (reliance on Allah). See family finances.
