🕌 Worship in the home · #75

What Friday practices suit the whole family?

Make Friday different from ordinary days with a few light practices enjoyed together. Encourage reading Surah al-Kahf, sending abundant blessings (selawat) on the Prophet, and bathing and wearing clean, fragrant clothes. A father can take his sons to the mosque early so they love the Friday prayer from childhood. Prepare a simple special dish to mark the day. In the late afternoon, spend time making supplication together, as it is among the times when prayers are answered. By making it a family day, the children will remember Friday as a happy day. See du'a & prayer.
