Can a male photographer photograph the bride on the wedding day?

Yes, within limits: the bride covers her aurat, there is no touching, and the photographer does not direct immodest poses. Problems usually arise when the photographer adjusts the bride's tudung or clothing, or takes pictures in the preparation room. Set these conditions when booking. If possible, ask for a female assistant for anything that needs touching or a closed space. Think too about the pictures that will be posted; poses that are too intimate in public easily invite slander. If you want to be more comfortable, choose a female photographer for the bride's session. See photos before marriage.
