Must both wives' homes be of the same standard and size?

Each wife is entitled to proper and comfortable housing according to your means, though it need not be identical in every inch. What is required is adequacy and suitability, not equal luxury. Avoid placing one wife in a far worse home while the other lives in luxury, because that makes her feel demeaned. If your means are limited, keep both modest rather than favouring one. Do not force two wives to live under one roof without their consent. If a dispute arises about suitable housing, the religious affairs office can advise. See two-household finances.
