⚖️ Polygyny: rulings & justice · #116

One of my wives feels neglected because I am busy. How do I repair the relationship?

Start by honestly admitting your shortcomings to the wife who feels neglected, not by denying her feelings. Feeling neglected, if left alone, turns into a deep wound. Set aside time that is truly hers again, free from work and phone interruptions, and keep that promise. Ask what she needs and meet those needs one by one. Do not compare her with her co-wife or ask her simply to ‘understand’ without any change on your part. Repair takes time and proof, not empty promises. If the wound is already deep, counselling helps you both talk without hurting each other. See counselling.
