🌍 Children, inheritance & global · #77

Our child now has two homes with different rules. How can we give him a sense of stability?

A child can thrive in two homes as long as both feel safe, loving and predictable. Try to align the basics between the two homes, such as bedtime, schoolwork and manners, so the child is not confused and does not play one parent against the other. Accept that each home has its own style, and not everything has to be the same. Provide space and belongings of the child's own in both places so he feels he belongs, not that he is a guest. Avoid interrogating him about the other home. If possible, the parents should talk now and then, politely, about the child's needs. A stable routine is the pillar of his calm. See educating the family.
