The court approved my polygyny application, but the akad has been delayed a long time. Can the permission still be used?

Read the order again and ask the religious affairs office, because the permission was given based on your situation at the time. Some orders state particular conditions, and the religious affairs office will check the order before processing permission to marry. If much has changed, for example your income has dropped, your existing wife is ill, or you have more children, honesty requires you to reassess whether you are still able. In some situations, a new application may be more appropriate. Also make sure your existing wife knows the latest position, so that she is not living in uncertainty.
