Can we rely on an online faraid calculator to divide the estate?

A faraid calculator is useful as a first picture, but it does not replace a faraid certificate from the Syariah Court. Its result is only as accurate as the information entered. One heir left out, or one heir's relationship chosen wrongly, is enough to change every figure. A calculator also cannot decide disputed matters, such as whether a marriage is valid, a claim for jointly acquired property (harta sepencarian), or an unclear gift (hibah). Use the tool to understand the rough picture and prepare your questions. Then bring the full list of heirs to the court, and let the official certificate be the basis of the division. See faraid basics.
