🕌 Worship in the home · #97

Is there a supplication for putting on clothes or looking in the mirror, and how do we teach it to the family?

Yes, there are supplications taught in the sunnah for putting on clothes and for looking in the mirror, and they easily become a family habit. Teach the children to be grateful for clothes that cover the aurat and make them look good, and to ask for good when looking in the mirror. Start dressing from the right side, following the sunnah. Avoid excess and showing off with clothes; clean, neat and modest is enough. Memorise the short supplications together or put them up in the room so everyone remembers. This practice turns the routine of dressing into a moment of remembering Allah and being grateful for His blessings. See du'a & prayer.
