Q&A › Existing wife & prospective wife

🤝 Existing wife & prospective wife · #100

I keep comparing myself with my co-wife until jealousy is eating me up. How do I stop?

Comparing yourself with your co-wife is a race with no finish line that only exhausts your soul. Allah says: “And do not covet that in which Allah has favoured some of you over others” (Surah an-Nisa' 4:32). Everyone has their own share and their own trials that cannot be seen from outside. Shift your focus from what your co-wife has to the blessings Allah has given you. Fill your time with things that strengthen you: worship, knowledge, and healthy relationships. If your husband is being unjust, that is a separate matter to deal with. Contentment is a wealth no one can take from you. See co-wife relations.
