What usually happens on the day of a polygyny application hearing, from arrival to the end?

Usually the day starts with registering your attendance, waiting your turn, and then a private session before the judge. Arrive early with your identity card, the notice and your documents. In the session, the judge will confirm who is present, then hear the applicant and the existing wife. Questions may cover the reasons, finances, housing and the wife's views. Some cases are settled that day; others are postponed for further evidence or a later decision. Dress modestly and bring water and a little food, because the wait can take time.
