We siblings have not spoken since we quarrelled over the estate. How do we begin to reconcile?

Separate two things: your relationship as siblings, and the unfinished property matters. Property can be settled through the court or a sulh officer, but family ties are only restored by personal steps. The Prophet ﷺ said of two brothers who shun each other: “The better of the two is the one who greets first” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6077). Send a short message without touching on property, for example: ‘Assalamualaikum, it's been a long time since we met. I miss you.’ Invite them to family gatherings, or visit your mother together. If the estate matters are still unresolved, hand them to a neutral party so property discussions no longer happen at the dinner table. See counselling.
