Should all the wives know what is in the husband's will, or is it enough for one of them?
There is no obligation to disclose the contents of a will, but in a polygynous family, equal transparency towards all wives is strongly recommended. When only one household knows, the other easily suspects something is being hidden, even if the will is fair. The husband can share just the basics: that a will exists, who the executor is, and where it is kept. If its contents involve the gift (hibah) of a house or a gift to one side, it is better to explain the reason to everyone in a calm setting. Consider a joint meeting in front of the executor or lawyer, so each wife hears the same information from the same source. See existing wife.
