When there is a function or feast, which wife should the husband take?

For functions and feasts, take the wives in turn or draw lots so no one feels she is always left behind. Public events are different from the rota of nights, but justice and feelings still need to be looked after. If you cannot take everyone, turns or lots make it transparent and fair. Avoid a fixed pattern where only one wife always appears at your side in public. Explain the arrangement so there is no misunderstanding, and treat all wives equally when they are together. If an event is specifically for one wife's family, it is reasonable to take her to it. See rotation.
