Q&A › Character & conduct between spouses

🤍 Character & conduct between spouses · #72

Since having children, we rarely have time for just the two of us. Does couple time matter?

Very much. Children need parents who are close, and the bond between husband and wife is the foundation of the family. Schedule short but regular time together: talk for 15 minutes after the children are asleep, go for a walk together at the weekend, or eat out once a month. Ask grandparents or relatives to look after the children for a while. Protect that time from phones and work. Couple time does not have to be expensive; what matters is giving each other full attention. See communication and emotions.
