Our child maintenance order was made years ago and is no longer enough. Can it be reviewed?

Yes; you can apply to the Syariah Court to vary the maintenance order when circumstances have changed. A child who was in kindergarten then may now be in secondary school with much higher costs. Your ex-husband's income may also have risen. Gather evidence of your child's current expenses, such as fees, transport, food and medical care, and compare them with the amount in the old order. If you have information about an increase in your ex-husband's income, include it too. Before going to court, try discussing it first; he may agree without the need for a hearing. A new agreement still needs to be recorded so that it is binding. See also maintenance amounts.
