🌍 Children, inheritance & global · #204

Our custody case will take time. Who looks after the children while we wait for the decision?

The court can make an interim custody order while the case continues. Act 303 s.86(5) lets the court, if necessary, make an interim order placing the child in the custody of any person, institution or association, and the order takes effect at once until the court makes a final custody order. If your child is in an unstable situation, or there is a dispute about who keeps the child at night and on school days, apply for an interim order through a Syariah lawyer or at the court counter. Meanwhile, avoid physically fighting over the child; it frightens the child and can harm the case. If there is a threat to safety, call the police on 999 or Talian Kasih 15999.
