How can a husband support his wife throughout pregnancy?

Accompany your wife to check-ups, lighten heavy work, and understand her changing emotions and appetite. Provide healthy food, plan the finances for the birth, and discuss together your preparations to welcome the baby. Reassuring words and praying together mean a great deal, especially as the birth approaches. A pregnant wife remains entitled to full maintenance (nafkah). If your wife seems very anxious or sad, take her to talk with a doctor. See fertility and pregnancy.
