What must be stated in the iqrar for a polygamy application about income and dependants?

Act 303 s.23(3) requires the application to be accompanied by an iqrar stating why the proposed marriage is just or necessary, present income, particulars of ascertainable commitments and financial obligations, the number of dependants including those who will become dependants, and whether the existing wife's permission or views have been obtained.
Honesty in the iqrar matters because it is made before the court, and a false iqrar is an offence (s.38). Allah commands us to be just and bear true witness even against ourselves (an-Nisa' 4:135). Prepare evidence such as payslips, bank statements, tax statements, a list of debts, and the living costs of each household. Do not hide debts or support given to parents. The court assesses whether the income suffices for all dependants fairly. See documents for a polygamy application.
